Ecstatic Dance is a space where anyone can go to move their body in a completely uninhibited way, while listening to a range of music that typically takes you on a journey. Ecstatic dance is many things to many people... a practice,  a place to just shake + dance off the day’s stresses, and for others, it is a ceremony or ritual, where through dancing, they take a journey. Some see ecstatic dance simply as therapy. Others go for the safe container, where consent and privacy are honored and practiced.

So what does ecstatic dance look like San Antonio?

It is a held sacred space for body movement (dance) to explore authentic expression, playfulness, and connection.
In support of a safe environment, no videos or photos are allowed, the space is alcohol + drug free, and consent is key!

We also follow the traditional ecstatic dance format created and developed in Austin, TX within the past 25 yrs. This format follows….

Dance schedule:
7:00pm - Doors open, warm-up dance
7:50pm - Opening circle
8:15pm - Main wave dance
9:15pm - Closing circle and sharing/announcements
10pm - Leave
